The office chair collection H09, with the models Privacy, Classic, Inspiration and Excellence, represents the third stage of the Split® Concept. In H09 the adjustable cushions are mounted on a bearing spine hidden behind a transparent surface, thus creating the feeling of a private room. The successor was launched in Europe and North America as Håg’s Executive Collection in 2004, along with SapDesign’s conference chair series Communication. Fundamental to the development of all sapDesign’s innovations, is the philosophy that “form follows function”, with ergometric solutions that focus on people’s need for mobility, even while sitting. 

The latest edition of Split® was launched by Håg/Flokk in 2017, under the name Tribute. This chair has a hidden carrying construction behind upholstery and textile, as well as sapDesign’s patented solution with automatic retraction of shoulder support, when reclining. Both H09 and Tribute have armrests with a tilting function from sapDesign. When the armrest is pushed down, the smaller elbow support appears, so that the user may move the chair closer to the table.
