People Are Different, developed for compact living, consisted of sitting and resting furniture for families in a start–up situation. The concept facilitated storage, sitting, resting, play and work, in a modern and creative expression. This project won the Nordic Industry Council’s Competition in 1976, within the category of home furniture, and was developed by the newly established company of Møre Designteam. (Svein Asbjørnsen, Jan Lade and Svein Leirdal). People Are Different® opened up for innovation in a new market, and received international attention.
